For one of the lowest cost hotels used in packages, this hotel is actually better than you would think. The Hawaiian Monarch Hotel is reasonably priced because it's a long 3 block walk to the beach and central Waikiki. It has a decent sized lobby, a good sports bar and restaurant. The Hawaiian Monarch Hotel also has a 2 floor pool. The hotel offers parking, but for a typical Waikiki extra-charge. The rooms are a bit small, but "ok". If you are looking to keep costs down and are willing to walk, The Hawaiian Monarch Hotel is a good choice.
